Lorex 8MP 4K IP Audio Turret / Dome Camera LNE8950A, 200ft IR Night Vision, Color Night Vision, Indoor/Outdoor. Lorex 4K IP Dome/ Turret Camera with Audio LNE8950A with Color Night Vision, IR Night Vision, Indoor/Outdoor. With the Lorex LNE8950A, it is visible during the day and inconspicuous at night, this all-black 4K resolution audio dome or turret security camera is perfect to both deter potential threats and capture useful evidence. Part of Lorex’s new line of nocturnal security cameras that offer the highest resolution, the longest night vision range, and the coldest temperature ratings available, this dome will bring your security monitoring to the next level. Whether you are looking for new security camera or simply looking to upgrade your current IP security system, this turret camera is an ideal solution, the Lorex LNE8950. 4K resolution video clarity. The 8mp image sensor at the core of the LNE8950A turret and dome audio security camera is capable of recording a 4K pixel resolution of 3840 x 2160 at 15 frames-per-second (FPS). This resolution will deliver extremely detailed images and allow for greater digital zooms so you can see further into the distance. This camera also uses industry leading H. 265 compression, which offers significant bandwidth and video storage capacity over older compression technologies. Security Monitoring in stunning 8MP 4K resolution. The days of choppy and blurry security footage are over. This dome camera has a cutting edge 8.51 MP image sensor at its core, which is capable of recording crystal clear and incredibly detailed 4K video. Ultimately, this high resolution will provide you with the best chance to capture useable evidence should an incident ever occur. 4K resolution is based on the amount of horizontal pixels the camera’s image sensor has on it. In order to be considered 4K, there must be approximately 4000 horizontal pixels. This dome security camera, in particular, can record at a pixel ratio of 3840 (horizontal) x 2160 (vertical). That is about 4× the amount of pixels that a 1080p HD resolution camera has. A further advantage of a 4K security camera is that the higher amount of pixels allows for much better digital zooms. So if you spot something in your footage that you need to zoom in on, specific details, such as facial features or license plate digits, will remain visible for longer as you zoom in further and further into the image. Sony Exmor R CMOS Sensor. The amazing video performance of this security camera is thanks to the incredibly sophisticated Sony Exmor R image sensor at its core. This top-of-the-line image sensor is primarily used to convert the analog video signal to digital. It also shields the video from excessive grain by passing the video data through an analog noise filter before conversion and a digital reduction after. Back Illuminated Pixel Technology. The Sony Exmore R sensor has changed the way in which image sensors capture light energy. Up until now, light energy (photons) would have to travel through a layer of metal wiring and transistors before reaching the image sensor’s light sensitive area (photo-diode). These obstructions would diminish the amount of light that is ultimately captured by the sensor. This is called a front illumintaed image sensor. That is not the case with this security camera’s image sensor, which uses back illuminated pixel technology. With this type of sensor, the light no longer has to pass through that layer of wiring, drastically improving the total amount of light captured. This vastly enhances low-light performance and results in less digital noise to keep your security footage clean and clear. A higher shutter speed provides the least amount of motion blur. A high shutter speed, however, needs a lot of light, so finding the right balance between these two settings can be difficult. Thankfully, this camera’s electronic shutter will automatically figure this out for you. An electronic shutter, as opposed to a mechanical shutter, does not rapidly open and shut with every picture (or frame). Instead, the image sensor accumulates light for a set amount of time (anywhere between 1/3 of a second to 1/100000 of a second), then resets (like the shutter closing) and gets ready for the next frame. 4K television / monitor not required It is important to note that this 4K security camera does not require a 4K television or monitor for use. The foremost benefit of using this camera is that the additional resolution will be utilized when necessary. So if an incident does occur, it will offer the best chance to digitally zoom in on people and objects to capture useful evidence (such as distinct facial features or license plate numbers). Active Mechanical IR Cut Filter. This is the Active Mechanical Lens Filter (otherwise known as the IR Cut Filter) engaging. This filter prevents UV and infrared rays from entering the lens during the day. Without it, these rays would cause a variety of distortions and discoloration to the video. It then disengages as natural light levels fade, allowing the infrared light back in so the camera’s night vision can start to work. 265 Compression – HEVC High efficiency video codec. Keep the 4K footage without the 4K file sizes with High Efficiency Video Compression (HEVC) compression technology. Also known as H. 265 or MPEG-H Part 2, this feature will compress video file sizes up to 40% more than the previous video compression technology without any noticable difference in quality. When combined with one of our 4K security recorders that are capable of receiving this type of encoding, you can expect smaller file sizes, longer record times, and higher remote viewing video quality without large data transfers. Audio Recording with Built-in microphone. Not only will you receive 4K video footage with this security camera, a built-in microphone will let you capture audio as well. This feature can provide you with more information (such as voices) should an intrusion ever occur. It will also help you to interpret events (even if they occur off-screen). Please note, audio recording without consent is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Corporation assumes no liability for use of its products that does not conform with local laws. Easy PoE installation Your LNE8950 turret audio security camera only needs a single Cat5e ethernet cable to connect it to a compatible NVR. This cable provides video transmission, power to the camera, a stable network connection, and installation flexibility up to 300ft. Enhanced Security Monitoring with HDR Your LNE8950 uses HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology that works to ensure you capture the most important details, regardless of lighting conditions. Dynamic range is measured as the difference between the brightest point and the darkest point of the video. HDR technology uses this difference to automatically adjust the picture’s brightness, resulting in optimized, highly-detailed security video. Enhanced Clarity in Low-Light Situations Your LNE8950A uses DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) technology to filter out noise from low-light settings as well any noise caused by motion. By eliminating graininess, your camera provides a cleaner, more accurate image with better clarity, sharpness, and improved motion detection, enhancing your HD experience even in the dark! Not only does DNR reduce noise, but it reduces video file sizes as well, giving you greater disc space for storage. All-weather security camera Your LNE8950 is rated IP66. This ensures safe outdoor installations. Furious winds, torrential downpours, and furious snowstorms are no match for this rugged security camera. It will even continue to operate in freezing climates as low as -22°F / -30°C. So go ahead and place this security camera where you need it most. Its heavy duty metal housing is well equipped to withstand both the elements and vandalism. Model No: LNE8950, LNE8950A, LNE8950ABW – all the same. PLEASE GIVE US A CALL WITH ANY QUESTIONS.
